Kenari is proud to introduce the Kenari Scholarship for Empowerment, a unique initiative dedicated to supporting individuals committed to making a meaningful impact in education, mental health, and cultural research. This scholarship embodies Kenari’s core values of integrity, responsibility, and empowerment, providing financial assistance to students and young professionals who aspire to drive positive change in these critical areas.

Purpose

​

The Kenari Scholarship for Empowerment is designed to:

  • Empower educational pursuits by supporting students dedicated to advancing knowledge in under-resourced areas or who aim to bring innovative, inclusive approaches to learning.

  • Support mental health awareness and advocacy, enabling individuals to make strides in mental health research, counseling, or community outreach, focusing on destigmatization and wellness.

  • Encourage cultural research and preservation, funding research that explores, documents, and celebrates diverse cultures, heritage, and historical narratives that enrich our understanding of humanity.

Scholarship Details

​

  • Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per academic year, renewable based on academic performance and ongoing dedication to education, mental health, or cultural research.

  • Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students in accredited institutions and young professionals engaged in community or research projects aligned with the scholarship’s mission.

  • Fields of Study: Candidates may be pursuing degrees or projects in fields including (but not limited to) psychology, sociology, anthropology, education, history, cultural studies, and public health.​​​​​​​​​​

How to Apply

Applications are open annually from January 1st to April 1st. Recipients will be announced in May, and funds will be available for use starting the following academic year. All application materials should be submitted through the Kenari website portal or emailed to scholarships@kenari.com.

Application Process

To apply for the Kenari Scholarship for Empowerment, candidates must submit:

  • A completed application form

  • Academic transcripts (for students) or proof of project work (for professionals)

  • A personal statement (500–700 words)

  • Two letters of recommendation from professors, mentors, or community leaders who can speak to the candidate’s dedication and impact

  • Optional: A portfolio of work, publications, or project descriptions relevant to the scholarship’s focus areas

Recipients of the Kenari Scholarship for Empowerment will be selected based on:

  1. Demonstrated Commitment: Evidence of a solid commitment to advancing education, mental health, or cultural research, such as volunteer work, internships, relevant coursework, or independent projects.

  2. Academic Achievement: A minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) for students or a demonstrated track record of impactful work for professionals.

  3. Leadership Potential: Proven ability to lead, inspire, or advocate for positive change within their field or community.

  4. Personal Statement: A compelling essay (500–700 words) that describes the applicant’s vision for making a difference in education, mental health, or cultural research, how this scholarship will support their goals, and why integrity is essential in their journey.
